@Srivatsa:Yes. The link is not working now. Probably they are doing some maintenance activities. Since, they have launched the service only a few days back, it’s better to use the online payment after few weeks as there will be initial hiccups ( don’t forget it’s a govt service- and we need to expect lot of problems in the initial stages at least)

@Anon:AXIS is only the payment gateway. You can use VISA/mater card issued by any bank to make the payment.I just made a payment through my ICICI credit card.

But they put additional service charge ( 12 rs in my case), which is not a good

i couldnt see any bills for my EB account. when would they update the bills? Also, i am rite now in bangalore. And, my house is in chennai. would they note down the readings and put the bills online? or would they put the bill only after the readings are entered in the EB card? any idea? any help would be highly appreciated.

@சீனு:In my case, they presented the latest bill one day after registration. May be you need to wait a day or two get that updated.Your EB card entries are not required to get the details online. They use their own register.

thanks for your reply krishnamoorthy.I would wait for couple of days. By the way, i have registered and added my consumer id a week before. But, i dont know why there is no bill. If i press the “Make Payment”, it says “No bills to Process”.

@சீனு:Not sure, why urs is not getting updated. You may have to try their support num given in their home page.

Where can I find my consumer number from the EB card ? pls help….

Hi Mr. KrishnamoorthyI tried to pay the EB bill by using other bank debit card. But Axis bank only available in online payment. Can you please explain how to use other bank debit cards. Thank you

@Anon:The Axis bank specified is only he “Payment gateway” . You can use VISA/Mastercard of any bank to make a payment.Ex: I paid with my ICICI Visa credit card after selecting Axis bank as payment gateway.

I had my meter reading taken last week. I just registered on the site but do not see my balance. How long after the meter reading is done does it get updated online? Please share your experiences.

@en no queues:From my experience they will update it on-line after one week from the next month starting.Just check after 5th of April.

there is an issue of excess payment in the site due to internet problems. some people have tried more than once to pay the bill. the bill amount got deducted twice and after complaining through email no response has been received. chk this http://www.consumercomplaints.in/complaints/tneb-c144801.htmli have also made excess payment and waiting for reply and refund

@Anon:Yes. We need to be very careful when we make payments in GOVT sites as we all know how good their service is. One should never try payment again when the payment gateway/ net banking transaction is completed( though not updated TNEB )These things happen even in other sites like Movie tickets booking. We can at least get some immediate response there. But , Govt runs sites like these, we need to run from pillar to post . That’s sad I have made payments in TNEB site 4 times; luckily I didn’t have any issues till now.

Its nice to see such a facility. I just registered my consumer id but the amount and choose to pay option have the common word "due date over". i think i skipped my due date as i am not at home now. cant i pay the bill online after the due date? Thanks in advance

Can Ambattur people can pay online or only chennai Corporation limit people can do online, I am in Ambattur, when I try to register it says invalid Service No. Please let me know, thanks
